Lawyers and Social Networking (Do You Have Time?)
Social networking is a hot topic lately in the legal blogosphere. I just read another post on the subject by Kevin over at Real Lawyers Have Blogs.
Social networking is a great tool – I personally love Twittering, and I’m also on Linked In. There are plenty of other options out there, but the more you join, the more you wonder where you will find the time to monitor the conversations, look for new contacts or answer the questions.
One possible option is to give your virtual assistant access to your accounts and have them monitor for specific keywords or conversations that you particularly want to be involved in. She can even respond on your behalf at appropriate times. Having a second set of “ears” in the conversations on your social networks can be a real benefit to you.
So do you social network? And how much time do you devote to it? I’d love to hear from you!

Nice post Laurie. Social networking is definitely an up and coming VA niche. It’s a huge part of Web 2.0, but many people just don’t have the time to devote to promoting themselves or their business properly. Outsourcing social marketing to a VA is being done more and more as people begin to understand how necessary it is to stay on top of the current trends and incorporating them into your marketing strategy.
Thanks for the comment Sherra!
